I decided that I wanted to somehow give candy as my wedding favor. I wanted something that males and females would both enjoy, so giving candles didn’t seem appropriate. I also came across other cute options, like mini photo frames or salt and pepper shakers. But since there were a lot of couples and families coming, I knew it would be pointless to give these items to every member of one family.

I wanted the guest list to be completed early on, because I knew it would affect ordering favors, invitations, and thank-you cards. Since my family is so large, I knew right from the beginning that we would have a long wedding guest list. Choosing our reception site was definitely a long process. It was a big project, but the second we signed the contract I felt relieved. The reception venue is such a large chunk of the wedding planning, and it’s nice to get it out of the way as soon as possible. I was very happy with my choice.
Choosing Our Wedding Date - Giving Up My Fall Wedding Dream
I had always wanted a fall wedding. Fall is my favorite season (as well as Brian’s), and I had always thought that the decorative options for fall weddings were gorgeous. Since I am very close to my out of state family members, I knew that a summer wedding would allow me to spend more time with them.
