Every Day We Just Get More Excited!
Things are getting pretty exciting around here at wedding planning central. Everything seems to be coming together and I’m kicking it into high gear as we near the two-month mark.
We’ve got meeting upon meeting with vendors who have graciously allowed us to move up the date, only giving them a few weeks to get their stuff together. May has already proven to be supremely productive for us.
We ordered our invitations at the end of April and I’ve already got them addressed, stuffed, stamped and ready to be mailed at the end of the month. What a relief to have such a huge task done!
We have both of our wedding bands in the works. Kyle bought my engagement ring from David Gardner’s Jewelers in College Station and I went back there to pick out our bands. I’m having mine custom made to match my engagement ring and Kyle’s is special ordered. They’ll be ready to pick up at the end of June.
Kyle and I had decided to fold 1000 paper cranes before our wedding. Luckily, we started strong and folded the first 500 in the first two months so we aren’t pressured to finish because of the date bump-up. Currently we are sitting on about 850 folded cranes. We plan to fold the last two on our wedding day… Precious, I know.
I’ve gotten our engagement announcements in both newspapers, my family’s hometown and his, and they ran last week.
I’m coordinating dates for my bridesmaids to get together so we can go dress shopping which is a little more of a hassle than I expected, but that’s what I get for having six attendants!
Kyle and I are researching for our honeymoon in Florida. We plan to spend some time in Disney World. Then we’ll spend a day driving to southern Florida and site-see along the way. Then we’ll spend two days fishing in-shore then offshore. Hopefully Saturday will be a day for us to relax before we fly back and are thrown back into the real world. Any suggestions are welcome and needed!
If all goes as planned, which it never does with us, we’ll have the bulk of the planning done by the end of May or at least by mid June. Every day we just get more excited! I can’t believe we’re actually getting MARRIED!
