Melissa Sweet Wedding Dress Line at Priscilla of Boston – Deliciously Sweet Styles!
Think all wedding dresses begin to look alike after a while? Check out the Melissa Sweet line at Priscilla of Boston and you’ll change your mind tout de suite. That’s French for “right away”, which is the same amount of time it’ll take you to fall in love with these wedding gowns.
The Brielle is a perfect example. This silk Adaja strapless A-line isn’t just beautiful… it’s gorgeous! It sports an elegantly embroidered bodice that opens into a full four-tiered skirt. Last, but nowhere near least, this gown looks as lovely from behind as it does in front. Can’t say that about every design, can you?
Speaking of beautiful rear views, the Deanna is drop dead, to-die-for stunning. That slight scoop will highlight your shoulder blades in an ideal way. The strapless front will do the same for your shoulders. And anyone who likes curvy hips (who doesn’t these days?) will just drool over that amazing hug accented by the flare below. Chiffon never showed so well.
The Joy is aptly named. Any woman who slips this on for the ceremony won’t want to take it off until late at night. Another strapless, the dropped waist and the hipline band are the ideal anchor for a full skirt that flows down in silk Taffeta. Who knew that fabric could achieve such heights?
Personally, the Sasha isn’t right for me. But there are thousands who will find it ideal. This strapless has a richly pleated bodice in satin, but it’s the chiffon overlay – tucked at the waist with a bow to transform it into an Empire – that really does the trick. Jane Austen’s books are wonderful, and the films always make the heroines look so lovely. But you really have to have the figure for an Empire to avoid looking like a stick.
Don’t you just love the name “Silvana” for a wedding gown? Well, there’s much more than a beautiful name at work here. This strapless in organza has a delightful flare and the chiffon flounce detail lends it just a touch of whimsy. Check out the heavy flounce detail on the bottom of the skirt and try not to swoon. Ok, swoon if you want. Where’s the harm?
Ok, I confess. I do have a personal favorite in the Melissa Sweet line: the Sloane. Sure, it’s a strapless A-line like the Brielle. But that deep V-neckline isn’t just for large gals. It’s for everyone. There’s something about that slightly Grecian-style flare in front that cleverly combines the classical and the contemporary. That’s the effect a double skirt can have and here it’s been done to perfection.
Priscilla of Boston shows once again how the phrase “good taste in wedding gowns” is a real understatement in their case.
