A Stylish Getaway in Gorgeous Vintage Mustang Cars

Our Mustang getaway car One of the most fun ideas we came up with for our wedding day, had to do with the vehicles we would use to get from the church to the reception.

Instead of going with the traditional limousine we were lucky enough to have a different option.

My Dad has always been into restoring vintage cars. Several years before my wedding he had restored a 1965 Mustang convertible for my Mom and at the time of my wedding he also had a 1965 Mustang fastback.

These cars were gorgeous! I did not have to pay a rental fee obviously so that saved some money for us. The best part was that it was unusual and they looked great in the pictures.

Just Married! One thing to consider when picking your getaway car is convertible or hardtop. Convertibles are a lot of fun for cruising with your wedding party, and waving to people as you drive by.

If you decide to go this route though, be sure to account for extra driving time so that you can go nice and slow and avoid hair tramas!

You may not have friends and family that own a vintage car, or maybe you go for a more modern style vehicle.

Sometimes you can find car club members that will rent out their vehicles for special events as long as you are properly insured, and there is always a regular car rental place.

By going with a non-traditional vehicle you may or may not save any money, but you may get something that is special and more fitting to your personality. I once saw a stretch limo that was made out of a 1965 Mustang, and those stretch Hummers are awesome too. Nowadays the possibilities are endless!
